Research Club

Overview

Evergreen Research Club is a student-led research and mentorship program designed to help students turn their interests into original research projects. Members will learn how to develop research questions, explore academic literature, design methods, analyze data, and communicate their findings across fields including medicine, biology, computer science, engineering, business, economics, social science, and the humanities.

Students will receive individual and small-group research mentorship and have opportunities to develop projects for science fairs, research competitions, presentations, and appropriate youth publications. By beginning research in middle school, students can build a strong foundation that they may continue into high school through advanced research projects, competitions, internships, academic programs, and eventually college applications.

About the program

Students will begin by learning how real research is conducted and developing their own project ideas. As projects progress, students will participate in workshops, receive mentor feedback, and hear from researchers and professionals.

The program is designed for students interested in fields such as medicine, engineering, computer science, business, economics, science, and the humanities, while helping them build research, analytical, communication, presentation, and independent project-development skills.

Students who demonstrate strong interest and commitment may continue receiving mentorship after the fall session toward science fairs, research competitions, poster presentations, manuscript writing, and potential youth publication opportunities.
