Finance Club

Overview:

This club, run by EMS volunteers, is intended to get students (6th-8th grade) interested in money management and various investment strategies.  The curriculum will create a solid foundation for one’s financial life and prepare for high school competitions like DECA & FBLA.

About the program

Each lesson combines current events, financial knowledge, and hands-on learning. Students discuss weekly financial news from The Wall Street Journal, learn key finance concepts, and apply their knowledge through practical projects such as mock stock trading, personal savings plans, and business plans for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Class Size: 25 students (Note that students who have previously enrolled may find some of the material similar. As a result, please relinquish this opportunity to other students who are new to this subject matter since space is limited)
