Coding Club Takes on ACSL Competition #3

Students in EMS PTSA Enrichment Coding Club recently completed the third of four American Computer Science League (ACSL) contests—and the momentum is building!

According to the ACSL dashboard, two of our teams are currently holding the top two spots in Washington in their division, an impressive achievement as the competition intensifies.

Each round brings new challenges, and this one was no exception. Students tackled increasingly complex topics, including Boolean algebra and advanced data structures like trees—skills typically seen in higher-level computer science coursework.

With one competition remaining, our students are already gearing up for the final test, due May 17. We’re excited to see how they finish strong!
