Oh, the THINKS they could think! Oh, the SONGS they could sing!
With clovers π and creatures πΎ and stories so true,
Seussical Jr. burst forth—bright π, bold πΆ, and brand new! β¨
This past Saturday, the Evergreen community was treated to a truly delightful performance of Seussical Jr., a colorful π, musical π΅ adventure that leapt straight off the page π and onto the stage π. From the very first note πΆ to the final bow πβοΈπβοΈ, our students delivered a show bursting with imagination β¨, heart π, and hardβearned confidence π.
Set in the whimsical worlds of Dr. Seuss π©, Seussical Jr. weaves together beloved characters and big ideas—kindness π, courage πͺ, loyalty π€, and the power of being heard π£. Our student actors rose to the challenge beautifully, bringing energy β‘, humor π, and sincerity π to every scene.
Audiences cheered ππ for Aadhya, Aadi, Aastha, Arnav, Ashwika, Calder, Caroline, Charlie, Chase, Chloe, Coco, Daniela, Divya, Drew, EC, Eric, Evelyn, Hailey, Isla, Katie, Kaylen, Maya, Nicholas, Olivia, Oriana, Paige, Pragna, Reyansh, Robin, Samus, Savir, Shloka, Tharini, Vaani, and Zoe as a joyful ensemble of Whos π, jungle creatures ππ΄, and storytellers π. Each student shone β¨ in their own way—whether delivering a solo line π€, anchoring a group number πΆ, or supporting their castmates π€ from the ensemble. Together, they created a world that felt alive π, playful π, and full of heart π.
Behind the scenes π¬, this production was guided by an incredible professional team. Joey Sponseller, Director and Choreographer, brought vision π, warmth π, and storytelling expertise π to the process, helping students grow not just as performers π, but as collaborators π€. Rebecca Herivel, Musical Director, supported the cast in finding their voices πΆ—both literally and figuratively—resulting in confident singing π€ and expressive musical moments β¨ throughout the show. Their leadership and care π were evident in every detail of the performance.
Beyond the spotlight β¨, this production was also shaped by the extraordinary dedication of our PTSA coβproducers, and Kristilyn Reese. With care π, creativity π¨, and an unmistakable love for this year’s production π, they worked tirelessly to support our students and bring Seussical Jr. to life. From coordinating volunteers π€ and schedules π to supporting rehearsals π¬, performances π, and the countless details that make a show possible β¨, their steady leadership helped everything run smoothly. This marked their final year serving as coβproducers after multiple years of commitment to the program, and we are truly grateful π for the time, heart π, and energy β‘ they have given to Evergreen’s enrichment theater. Their impact will be felt long after the final curtain call π¬π.
Of course, no production comes together without a village ποΈ. A huge thankβyou ππ goes out to our dedicated volunteers and crew—those who planned π, built π οΈ, organized π¦, supervised π, encouraged π¬, and cheered π. From sets π¨ and costumes π to backstage support π¬ and snacks πͺ, your time and energy made it possible for our students to take the stage with confidence π and joy π.
What made Seussical Jr. especially magical β¨ was not just how polished the final performance was, but how much growth it represented π±. With only six weeks of rehearsal β³, teamwork π€, and perseverance πͺ led to a show that celebrated creativity π¨ and community π as much as talent π. The students didn’t just perform a musical—they told a story together π, supported one another π€, and proved that even the smallest voice π£οΈ can make a very big difference π.
πβ¨ Oh, the thinks they could think.
ππ Oh, the things they could do.
We are so proud of our Seussical Jr. cast and crew—and we can’t wait to see where their creativity takes them next ππβ¨.
