Oh, the THINKS they could think! Oh, the SONGS they could sing!

With clovers πŸ€ and creatures 🐾 and stories so true,
Seussical Jr. burst forth—bright 🌟, bold 🎢, and brand new! ✨

This past Saturday, the Evergreen community was treated to a truly delightful performance of Seussical Jr., a colorful 🌈, musical 🎡 adventure that leapt straight off the page πŸ“– and onto the stage 🎭. From the very first note 🎢 to the final bow πŸ™‡‍β™€οΈπŸ™‡‍♂️, our students delivered a show bursting with imagination ✨, heart πŸ’–, and hard‑earned confidence 🌟.

Set in the whimsical worlds of Dr. Seuss 🎩, Seussical Jr. weaves together beloved characters and big ideas—kindness πŸ’•, courage πŸ’ͺ, loyalty 🀝, and the power of being heard πŸ“£. Our student actors rose to the challenge beautifully, bringing energy ⚑, humor πŸ˜„, and sincerity πŸ’™ to every scene.

Audiences cheered πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ for Aadhya, Aadi, Aastha, Arnav, Ashwika, Calder, Caroline, Charlie, Chase, Chloe, Coco, Daniela, Divya, Drew, EC, Eric, Evelyn, Hailey, Isla, Katie, Kaylen, Maya, Nicholas, Olivia, Oriana, Paige, Pragna, Reyansh, Robin, Samus, Savir, Shloka, Tharini, Vaani, and Zoe as a joyful ensemble of Whos 🎈, jungle creatures 🐘🌴, and storytellers πŸ“–. Each student shone ✨ in their own way—whether delivering a solo line 🎀, anchoring a group number 🎢, or supporting their castmates πŸ€— from the ensemble. Together, they created a world that felt alive 🌍, playful πŸŽ‰, and full of heart πŸ’–.

Behind the scenes 🎬, this production was guided by an incredible professional team. Joey Sponseller, Director and Choreographer, brought vision πŸ‘€, warmth πŸ’›, and storytelling expertise πŸ“š to the process, helping students grow not just as performers 🎭, but as collaborators 🀝. Rebecca Herivel, Musical Director, supported the cast in finding their voices 🎢—both literally and figuratively—resulting in confident singing 🎀 and expressive musical moments ✨ throughout the show. Their leadership and care πŸ’™ were evident in every detail of the performance.

Beyond the spotlight ✨, this production was also shaped by the extraordinary dedication of our PTSA co‑producers, Heidi Nguyen and Kristilyn Reese. With care πŸ’–, creativity 🎨, and an unmistakable love for this year’s production 🌟, they worked tirelessly to support our students and bring Seussical Jr. to life. From coordinating volunteers 🀝 and schedules πŸ“… to supporting rehearsals 🎬, performances 🎭, and the countless details that make a show possible ✨, their steady leadership helped everything run smoothly. This marked their final year serving as co‑producers after multiple years of commitment to the program, and we are truly grateful πŸ™ for the time, heart πŸ’•, and energy ⚑ they have given to Evergreen’s enrichment theater. Their impact will be felt long after the final curtain call 🎬🌟.

Of course, no production comes together without a village 🏘️. A huge thank‑you πŸ™ŒπŸ’ goes out to our dedicated volunteers and crew—those who planned πŸ“‹, built πŸ› οΈ, organized πŸ“¦, supervised πŸ‘€, encouraged πŸ’¬, and cheered πŸŽ‰. From sets 🎨 and costumes πŸ‘— to backstage support 🎬 and snacks πŸͺ, your time and energy made it possible for our students to take the stage with confidence 🌟 and joy 😊.

What made Seussical Jr. especially magical ✨ was not just how polished the final performance was, but how much growth it represented 🌱. With only six weeks of rehearsal ⏳, teamwork 🀝, and perseverance πŸ’ͺ led to a show that celebrated creativity 🎨 and community πŸ’– as much as talent 🌟. The students didn’t just perform a musical—they told a story together πŸ“–, supported one another πŸ€—, and proved that even the smallest voice πŸ—£οΈ can make a very big difference 🌍.

πŸ’βœ¨ Oh, the thinks they could think.
πŸš€πŸŒŸ Oh, the things they could do.
We are so proud of our Seussical Jr. cast and crew—and we can’t wait to see where their creativity takes them next πŸŽ‰πŸŽβœ¨.
