Every morning, 300 cars travel to and from our school to drop off students.
Put these end-to-end and it's a line stretching over a mile. EMS was never designed for this kind of traffic, and it's evident in the backed up roads, the slow crawl in the parking lots, the close calls with student safety, and the high blood pressure of our school admin team.
Starting after Spring Break, we're asking you to ask yourself … can I skip this solo car trip? Can we use the yellow school buses, carpools, walking, and biking to school whenever possible?
We're serious about this, and we need everyone's input!

Each Brown Bear Car Wash ticket costs just $12 (the same price as at the car wash), and $9.50 of every ticket sold goes directly back to our school! All profits will go to support Evergreen programs and services such as staff grants, teacher stipends, staff appreciation, student planners, 8th grade celebration and so much more!

Each year, Evergreen Middle School PTSA recognizes volunteers and educators who have given outstanding service to our children and school community by presenting them with honors such as the Golden Acorn, Golden Eagle, Walter J. Ferguson, Outstanding Advocate, and Outstanding Educator awards. Click here to read descriptions of the types of awards.
Being nominated by peers to receive an award is a huge testament to our volunteers' and educators' contributions, so we invite you to participate in this special tradition by submitting a nomination form by Friday, May 17th.
If you have questions or wish to email your nomination, please contact president@evergreenptsa.org.
*** We are also still looking for volunteers to help us review award submissions, choose recipients for each category, purchase awards, and help plan the Volunteer Appreciation Award Reception on June 14th. If you are interested, sign up here! Questions? Email amy@evergreenptsa.org. ***

Our school is looking for volunteers to help our hardworking lunch staff. Volunteers would serve food to students and ensure that they are recycling and composting responsibly. This is a great opportunity for parents who want to volunteer in the school. You can volunteer once or on a regular basis!
